We, humans, born out of Brahman, nurtured and sustained by Him, and finally set to merge with Him, should have gratitude and devotion to Him; failing which we would be ungrateful. “There is no salvation for those who fail to show gratitude”.
Devotion is shown in many ways, such as performing Pooja, Nama-Sankeerthanam, Pilgrimage and visit to temples, etc, Even though, God is Omni-present, it is the temples which bring out the divinity in a form suitable for WORSHIP and where GOD pervades everybody’s heart and soul. In this world, which is fraught with trails and tribulations, conflicts and erosion in values, the construction of Temples/Ashrams will indeed be the path to re-inforce our own cultural and spiritual base, in the time tested concept of Temple worship.
Narayaneeya Satsang Samiti is an institution established with the prime objective of constructing a Temple of Narayaneeyam called as Narayaneeya Aalayam for Sri Melpathur Narayana Bhattathiri. This institution has further objectives of
- Conducting free Narayaneeyam classes and other important vedic classes for all to develop the basic values and culture within the society.
- Conducting Paraayanam and Pravachans of various Gurus on different topics like Narayaneeyam, Bhagavatham, Ramanyanam, etc.
- To instill in children a strong foundation of our Hindu culture and human values
- To help the downtrodden and poor in form of food, clothing and education
This institution has been initiated and blessed by Guru Sri Naraharipriya Mataji of Abhedananda Ashram, Tiruvananthapuram. Under able guidance and blessings of Mataji, this initiative has been taken up with a very humble beginning but with a high ambition. This institution has been started with personal financial contribution from the promoter families.
The future plans are to raise funds slowly and build up the capital to acquire a land somewhere in Dombivli. On this land we plan to construct a temple/ashram with a huge hall for conducting various activities like chanting Sampoorna Narayaneeyam, pravachans of various Gurus and classes for all on various topics mentioned above. This temple will also have rooms for staying for the Gurus who visit Dombivli for conducting pravachans and parayanams.
It also a dream of the institution to inscribe complete Narayaneeyam on the inside walls of the temple in Sanskrit on marble stones. Hence this will be Temple of Narayaneeyam and the name of Narayaneeya Alayam has been thought of.
